Former Caribbean men’s singles champion and International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) certified Course Conductor Sydney Christophe is conducting an ITTF Level One Coaching Course at the Westchester Table Tennis Center in New York State.
Some 11 coaches including another former Caribbean men’s singles champion Robert Roberts are participating in the course.
So too is Rawle Alleyne who for years served as coach of the Barbados national team when Roberts was a member.
According to the ITTF website, the course is the “latest such course in a series organized under the auspices of the United States Table Tennis Association. The targets set to increase the number of coaches are being rapidly reached and exceeded.”
The course, which commenced August 4, will conclude on Saturday.
