Former national junior cyclists Neil Reece on Sunday returned to form by winning the seventh annual Franco Crawford 46-mile cycle road race in Berbice. Reece’s winning time was two hours and ten minutes.
Ray Millington placed second while overseas-based Selso Crawford and his father Franco Crawford were third and fourth respectively. Wasim Hassnoo and Elijah Brijadder rounded out the top six.
The race which started in front of the Springlands Police Station and ended at Main and Alexander Streets, New Amsterdam, attracted some 18 participants.
Reece who ended the race approximately 14 minutes in front of the second place finisher, captured all 10 prime point prizes at stake.
Adrel Ross won the juvenile category from Andrea Reid and Andrew Hicks while Marica Dick won the female category and Franco Crawford was first among the veterans.
All the participants received T. Shirts from the sponsors Selso and Franco Crawford and Englishman Leanton Blake compliments of the Geoffrey Butler GB cycling club of England.
