A security guard charged with simple larceny was placed on $30,000 bail when he was brought before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
It was alleged that on Tuesday Troy Armstrong stole $13,000 and a Nokia phone valued $12,000, property of Carl Sinclair.
The accused, 34, of 53 Russell Street, Charlestown, pleaded not guilty to the offence.
Armstrong, unrepresented by counsel, applied for bail and the prosecution proffered no objection.
The magistrate granted bail in the sum of $30,000.
The defendant is set to return to Court One of the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on October 1.
