A teenager was on Thursday night attacked by armed bicycle bandits who later escaped with his boots and cash.
Up to press time no arrest had been made.
Denzel Belgrave, 17, of West La Penitence was walking along Middle Road, East La Penitence around 7:30pm when he was attacked by three men, one of whom had a gun.
The teen was relieved of his boots, two cell phones and $8,000 cash.
The bandits then fled the scene on bicycles.
Crime Chief Seelall Persaud had told Stabroek News earlier this week that bicycles has become a popular mode of escape for bandits.
Stabroek News was unable to make contact with Belgrave.
