Riders from this year’s ‘Teach Them Young’ cycling programme will be on show at the inner circuit of the National Park today when national cycling coach Hassan Mohamed and Banks DIH Limited under the Malta Supreme brand team up to host an 11-race youth cycle programme.
The event which will pedal off at 9:00hrs is expected to attract all the stars from the local cycling clubs as well as riders from this year’s 36th annual ‘Teach Them Young’ Cycling programme.
The main event will see the top juniors and senior riders going head-to-head in the Invitational 35-lap race.
Other categories scheduled to be contested are the 12 to 14 years boys and girls (3 laps), veterans under-50 years (5 laps), veterans over-50 years (5 laps), veterans over-60 years (5 laps), juveniles (10 laps), upright cyclists (5 laps), BMX boys open (3 laps), BMX boys 12 to 14 years (3 laps), BMX boys 9 to 12 years (3 laps) and BMX boys 6 to 9 years (3 laps).
Brand Manager of non-alcoholic malts, Clayton McKenzie of Banks DIH Limited, will distribute the prizes to the respective winners.
