A man alleged to have been found with one gramme of cannabis was yesterday placed on $10,000 bail after he denied a narcotics possession charge at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
It is alleged that Ian Alexander, who cuts grass for a living, had the cannabis in his possession last Thursday.
Alexander, who lives with his common-law wife and a child, pleaded not guilty.
No details of what transpired on the day in question were presented to the court. The prosecution had no objections to bail and Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton granted Alexander bail.
The case is to be called again on October 3 in Court One.
