Greaves, who placed second and first in the second and fourth stages respectively in last year’s race, will team up with Raymond Newton, Alex Mendes, Marlon ‘Fishy’ Williams and Mario King, with the aim of making Guyana proud. The five-man team is expected to hold its own against teams from French Guiana (defending champions for the last two years), Curacao, Holland, British Virgin Islands (BVI), Suriname, USA, and other countries. The race programme is as follows: Friday, August 31 at 14:00hrs – 95km; Saturday September 1 at 9:00hrs – 105km, Sunday, September 2 at 7:30hrs 10km Time Trial and at 14:30hrs – 90km (6 laps)
The team will be managed by president of the RBC, Brian Allen while Marlon Humphrey will act as assistant manager.
Gratitude was extended to the management of Marco’s Trading, ANSA Mc AL Trading and Caribbean International Distributors INC by the executive members of the RBC for sponsorship of the team.
