There were to be no heroes for the ‘minnows’ as the traditionally stronger teams in Georgetown cricket all completed innings victories before 3pm on the second day of the Carib Beer and Friends of Cricket Heroes Cup cricket competition.
Robin Bacchus stroked an unbeaten double hundred to lead Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) to an outright victory by an innings over Gandhi Youth Organisation. Bacchus had brought up his century late on Saturday’s first day’s play and went on to strike a total of 33 fours and a solitary six in a marathon innings on the good Bourda batting track.
