The badly decomposed body of a 52-year old man was yesterday fished out of a canal at Bush Lot Village, West Coast Berbice.
The man has been identified as Kumwanlall Chattergoon, a labourer of Bath Settlement, WCB, a police source said last evening.
According to reports, a rice farmer was on his way to tend to his crop yesterday afternoon in the backdam at Bush Lot and discovered the man’s body floating in the canal.
Chattergoon’s swollen body was fully clothed.
