The Alliance for Change (AFC) is calling on all stakeholders in the education sector to play a more vital role in producing well-qualified students so as to advance the development of the country, considering the unimpressive results in recent exams.
“We believe that it has come to a time where we need a national effort to address the crisis in education. We’re urging the government to convene a conference where all the principle stakeholders can examine the present state of education and establish long-term goals that will be sufficient for the next 10 to 15 years … and for producing students who are appropriately qualified for the industries that we hope to exploit,” Chairman of the party, Attorney Nigel Hughes said at a press briefing on Thursday.
