The Salvation Army Drug Rehabilitation Centre will host a ‘Dinner and Laughter’ fundraising event on September 29 in order to help finance the cost of continuing to provide counselling and other related services for a number of recovering addicts in Guyana.
The event, which will feature local comedians and talents from the members of the Salvation Army, will be held at the Everest Cricket Club pavilion, a press release from Hand in Hand Group of Companies, one of the sponsors of the event, said.
For the past 15 years the Salvation Army has been providing counselling and other services to addicts in Guyana through the support of the government of Guyana, contributions from affected family members and the army itself.
