The Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) is advising the public that it will commence its reconfiguration activities at the Accident and Emergency Unit waiting and triage areas, from Monday, September 10 to Friday, September 14.
This exercise is expected to significantly improve the services offered at the waiting and triage areas, with the addition of two examination beds, two nurse’s desks and one doctor’s desk, the hospital said in a press release on Thursday. The waiting area will also be shifted to the northern end of the unit to facilitate easy access to washroom facilities.
The GPHC advised that the Accident and Emergency Unit will continue its daily functions of administering medical services but apologised in advance for any inconvenience that may occur.
