The Community Policing Organisation today expressed shock at the passing of former Police Commissioner Henry Greene and lauded his work.
The statement follows:
“The Community Policing Organisation of Guyana wishes to express profound shock at the passing of Mr. Henry Mr. Greene, DSS former Commissioner of Police.
“The Organisation recognizes and records the sterling contributions and timely support that Mr. Greene gave towards its development.
“As head of the Guyana Police Force, the Community Policing earned tremendous benefits from his advice at his monthly Statutory Meeting with the National Community Policing Executive and as such members were able to formulate strategies in reducing the fear of crime in their communities.
“Mr. Greene expended a great deal of energy in improving the relations between the police and the Organisation by ensuring training, social inter action, fun days and participation in police activities.
“It is therefore, with the deepest feeling of sadness that the Organisation extends its heartfelt condolences and exhorts the aggrieved to garner strength and faith to overcome the challenges that may confront them in this their time of sorrow and pain.”
