The Neal and Massy Guyana Group made financial and other donations to 23 charities in Demerara, Essequibo, Berbice and Linden at its third annual charitable event held on Wednesday.
According to a press release, Group CEO Deo Persaud lauded the recipients for their contributions to bettering the lives of needy persons. He also commended them for their commitment and dedication to such causes.
“Since we commenced this exercise we have been able to increase the number of beneficiaries and our contributions as well. This year we have also included stationery hampers as well as monetary contribution to the organizations that deals with children,” he said. Persaud then pledged that Neal and Massy will continue to partner with charities to help develop the society.
This year’s beneficiaries are the Dharm Shala, Radio’s Needy Children’s Fund, Help and Shelter, the Guyana Relief Council, the National Library, Cheshire Home, Guyana Community-based Rehabilitation Programme, Food for the Poor Guyana, Joshua House children’s Centre, Lifeline Counselling Service, Guyana Society for the Blind, the Ruimveldt Children’s Aid Centre, JC Learning Resource Centre, New Opportunity Corps, Suddie Hospital, New Amsterdam Special Needs School, Canaan Children’s Home, Anjuman Orphanage, Beacon Foundation, Ptolemy Reid Centre and the David Rose School for Handicapped Children.
