The driver of this truck, GHH 1784, yesterday afternoon crashed into an electricity post at the corner of Francois and Sheriff streets, but seconds later reversed and fled the scene. A resident told Stabroek News that the impact left the post leaning and though Guyana Power and Light (GPL) had been informed up to late yesterday afternoon no one had visited to fix it. The resident expressed concern that the post would eventually snap in two.
