The police say they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 0030h. today on the Montrose Public Road, ECD, and which resulted in the death of Ramdularie Singh, 76 years, of Bath Settlement, WCB.
Police say investigations revealed that the driver of mini-bus BNN 7851 attempted to overtake motor lorry GNN 5130 and collided with motor car PMM 1123 which was proceeding in the opposite direction. Following the collision, the motor lorry ran into the rear of the mini-bus.
Singh, who was in the mini-bus, suffered injuries and was taken to the GPHC where she succumbed while receiving medical treatment.
The drivers of the three vehicles are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
