I have being reading and following the various articles in the newspaper about the cleaning of the city and keeping it clean.
Before the major clean-up was announced and the few changes were made within City Hall, the garbage used to be picked up once a week in Middle Road, La Penitence, but it has been weeks now since this was done.
Having a major clean-up is very good, but we cannot have the contractor’s trucks stopped from picking up garbage once a week in Middle Road, La Penitence, because nothing will be achieved.
Some people might start burning garbage; is this safe and is it healthy? Given the current dry season, lots of unfortunate things can happen.
Why is the contractor not coming any more to Middle Road, La Penitence? What are the immediate plans?
Why do people who pay their taxes have to suffer like this?
I hope to see the resumption of garbage collection in this area soon.
