Junior star riders Paul De Nobrega, Raynauth Jeffrey, Raul Leal and Michael Anthony continue to make Guyana proud by making the Golden Arrowhead fly high on foreign soil.
At the two-day Junior Caribbean Cycling Championships which pedaled off on Saturday in the Dominican Republic, the four riders all turned in creditable performances. In the junior category, DeNobrega, last year’s local junior Road Race champion, stormed to victory in
the event while reigning junior Road Race King, Jeffrey sprinted in to finish second. In the Youth category, Lindener Michael Anthony powered across the finish line to take top honours in the 50km race while Leal finished the event in the fourth position.
DeNobrega, Jeffrey, Anthony and Leal along with Wayne De Abreau who acted as Coach of the team were all scheduled to return to Guyana last night.
