Reigning Hugh Ross Classic (HRC) bantamweight champion, Devon Davis, Saturday posed and flexed his way to a gold medal at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships..
Davis copped the gold medal at the 40th annual three-day championships which concluded Saturday night in Puerto Rico.
HRC’s overall winner welterweight Kerwin Clarke, won a bronze medal in his division to give Guyana two podium finishes.
Davis’ compatriots, lightweight Marlon Bennet (former CAC silver medalist) and Alicia Fortune (reigning Ms. Guyana and three-time HRC winner) were not as fortunate. The both placed sixth in their respective categories.
Davis competed against one other competitor while Clarke’s division consisted of 11 rivals. Bennet competed against eight other bodybuilders in his category.
Fortune, Bennet and Davis are scheduled to return to Guyana this morning while Clarke is scheduled to return tomorrow.
