A child makes her way across this rickety plank on Sunday. Residents of Dochfour are unnerved by sloppy work done by a contractor who left this main access bridge in an incomplete state for the last six weeks or so. The old bridge was dismantled to facilitate the placing of drainage tubes, but these have been severely damaged and are non-functional. Residents expressed their frustration and concern for the safety of especially children and the elderly and gave instances where persons fell while trying to cross. Because of the present condition of the bridge, vehicles are unable to enter the neighbourhood, leaving persons to walk considerable distances. Residents are calling for it to be remedied.
