National cycling coach Hassan Mohamed has teamed up with Banks DIH Limited to keep the local cyclists on their saddles ahead of the upcoming annual four-day, five-stage road race which will pedal off on October 11.
Mohamed and the local conglomerate, under its Malta Supreme brand, will pedal off a 50-mile road race tomorrow.
The event, which will commence at the Wales Police Station at 9:00hrs, will proceed to Bushy Park on the East Bank of Essequibo before returning to the Demerara Harbour Bridge for the finish.
The veterans, mountain bikes and female cyclists will turn back at Uitvlugt and finish at the Harbour Bridge.
The first six seniors, three juniors, three veterans and three upright finishers will be awarded prizes while the first two females and the first veteran over 60-years will also receive prizes. Eight prime prizes will also be up for grabs during the course of the race.
Brand Manager, Clayton McKenzie will distribute the prizes to the top finishers of the respective categories.
