(Jamaica Observer) BROWN’S TOWN, St. Ann – Gunmen struck in the Brown’s Town market, St Ann Saturday night leaving two men dead and the St Ann police searching for clues into the brutal killings.
Those killed have been identified as Desmond Black, 42, taxi operator of Sommerton district and 30-year-old Wayne Dyer, otherwise called ‘Waynie’ of Orange Hill, both in St Ann.
The men were reportedly among a group inside the market when they were approached by men armed with handguns who opened fire.
Both men received bullet wounds to the head and other parts of their upper bodies. They died on the spot.
The incident which occurred about 10:15 Saturday night sent many vendors and shoppers inside the market at the time scampering for cover.
Investigators are yet to establish a motive for the double murder.
