Reece has taken time off to pursue studies and final exams at the New Amsterdam Technical Institute. He returned to cycling in top form, riding away with the Franco Crawford 46.6-mile event, the Furniture World 50-mile event and the Easy Jet 50- mile race while placing third in the National Park senior race. According to Reece, Hicken was so impressed by his performances that he offered to support his club – the Flying Ace Cycling Club - Berbice.
