The police say they are conducting investigations into a fatal accident that occurred at about 1135h today on the Diamond Public Road, EBD, and which resulted in the death of Doran Keith James, 23 years, of Adventure, Soesdyke/Linden Highway and injuries to Raganauth Mohabir.
Investigations so far have revealed that James and Mohabir were passengers in motor car PHH 2376 which was proceeding along the roadway. The police say that the driver allegedly swerved to avoid a collision with a truck which was overtaking a line of vehicles causing him to lose control of the vehicle and crash into the Diamond Bridge.
The passengers suffered injuries and were taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where Doran Keith James was pronounced DOA and Raganauth Mohabir admitted a patient.
