(Trinidad Express) Street and flash flooding along with gusty winds are expected today as a large tropical wave is predicted to impact the southern Caribbean, especially Barbados.
But with the system being such a large one its feeder bands could affect Trinidad and Tobago from early today.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in Florida, USA, the weather system, which is being described as a broad area of low pressure, was located 100 miles south-east of Barbados, with thunderstorm activity continuing and showing signs of organisation.
NOAA said the system has a 50 per cent chance of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 24 hours as it moves northward at ten to 15 mph.
