Five students who were successful at the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) and Guyana’s National Grade Six Assessment examinations were recognised on Wednesday at the National Library’s Annual Bursary Awards ceremony.
A release from the library said that the recipients of the awards were: Simeon Spencer, Kishon Craig, Dwayne Isaiah George, Sean John Montague, and Marion Thomas.
Chief Librarian, Gillian Thompson, congratulated them on their success. “The National Library is very proud to recognise your sterling
achievements at the National Grade Six Assessment examinations and the CSEC examinations. We encourage you to continue working hard towards achieving your goals and remain committed to pursuing even greater academic achievements in the future,” Thompson said, according to the press release.
Each child was presented with a monetary award based on their respective performance at the examinations.
