The Guyana Manufacturing & Services Association (GMSA) yesterday ex-pressed condolences to the family of the late Naeem Nasir of Nasir & Nasir Company Ltd, owner of the popular Bakewell bread brand.
GMSA said that he was a valued member and made sterling contributions to the growth of his enterprise. The manufacturers noted that Nasir in 2004 won hands down the Association’s Award for “Manufacturing a quality product and presiding over its rapid expansion into local markets, resulting in the acquisition of a substantial market share within a short period”.
“He was singularly determined to develop and diversify his product range while maintaining that signature Bakewell quality.
His was a success story that may be unmatched in Guyana.
We are fully cognizant that his work as an entrepreneur, a family patriarch and an outstanding philanthropist was far from done when he was taken from this world … way too soon”, the association said.
