R&B superstar, Chris Brown is set to perform at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence on December 26, Minister of Tourism Irfaan Ali announced yesterday.
A GINA release said that Ali at a press conference yesterday promised an unforgettable performance.
The Chris Brown show called Unforgettable 2, will be made possible through support of the Guyana Government, via tax exemptions, Hits and Jams entertainment and Aruwai Plaza, GINA reported.
“The show is expected to bring a number of visitors to the country’s shores….we don’t only want to attract Guyanese back home, but to also leverage this to expand our tourism, as it will not only attract visitors, but see spending of foreign currently, creating opportunities in the local business environment,” Minister Ali said.
The Christmas package developed by the Guyana Tourism Authority will also be marketed in Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados.
H&J Representative, Rawle Ferguson assured the public that the entertainer will definitely be in Guyana on December 26, as all arrangements and the inking of the contract have been finalized, GINA said.
“For the support of the public, and the Ministry of Tourism over the years, I must say thank you. However, Chris Brown will definitely be here and I am calling on all of Guyana to support the show,” he said.
