The Mayor and City Council yesterday said it is concerned over the increase in the rearing of birds and other animals in Georgetown, while saying it would be moving against owners doing so in a manner that is a nuisance to neighbours or their communities.
According to a statement issued by acting Public Relations Officer Debra Lewis, the Environmental Sanitation Section of the City Council said over the past months it has received complaints of citizens rearing animals and birds in such a manner that it is a nuisance to their immediate neighbours and to the community.
