The Guyana and Trinidad Mutual, Fire and Insurance Company (GTM) on Friday formally opened a branch at Diamond, East Bank Demerara.
The office, located in the Guyana Oil Company Service Station Compound at Diamond, was set up to serve customers on the East Bank of Demerara.
Branch Supervisor Mina Narine told Stabroek News that given the current housing boom on the East Bank coupled with the growing number of customers living in the Diamond/Grove area the company decided to open the branch for their convenience.
Acting Chairman of GTM Peter Fraser commissioned the branch. The 12th of its kind countrywide, it will offer to clients various insurance policies ranging from life to property, health and motor.
