Rasheed Abdool, the Non Pareil, East Coast Demerara man, who was fatally stabbed on Wednesday night, died as a result of multiple stab wounds to the heart, the post-mortem examination on his body revealed.
Crime Chief Seelall Persaud said when contacted that the man they suspected to have committed the crime apparently did not.
Two brothers of the suspect were arrested and a bicycle was recovered from the scene. The men told investigators that their brother is in the interior and his employer is in possession of his bicycle. Persaud also said when investigators checked with the employer, that information was confirmed. Further investigation into the matter has to be done.
Abdool was stabbed after he had an argument with another man, who returned with his attacker.
His father, Nasir Abdool, said that his son left their Non Pareil home to go on the road and it was then the incident took place. He had also told us that his son was involved in an argument with another man and as a result dealt him two lashes with a black sage whip. The man then told him he is going to return for him and he did return with another man who inflicted the stab wounds on Rasheed.
