Government Pathologist Dr. Vivekanand Brijmohan yesterday submitted the post-mortem report for Dameon Belgrave to the Guyana Police Force, which was then handed over to the Chairman of the Police Complaints Authority (PCA).
Belgrave of Middle Street, Pouderoyen, WBD, was fatally shot during a police operation on October 05, 2012, at Hadfield Street, Georgetown. The PCA had been waiting on the post-mortem report before forwarding its position on the shooting to the Chambers of the Director of Public Prosecutions. The DPP would then make a ruling.
Three policemen have been implicated in the shooting which sparked outrage as at least one of them opened fire in a crowded area while in pursuit of a car with four individuals in it. Belgrave, a bystander, was fatally shot.
