The Courts-sponsored Pee Wee football competition will continue today at the Thirst Park with another eight matches of the second round.
The first match gets underway at 10.
Today’s matches will see Tucville Primary tackling Sophia; West Ruimveldt engaging F.E. Pollard; Marian Academy playing Ketley; St. Margaret’s facing Success Elementary; St. Sidwell’s tackling St. Pius; Green Acres playing St. Gabriel’s; South Ruimveldt opposing Enterprise and North Georgetown engaging Redeemer Primary.
Last week six of the 16 teams registered wins in the opening round of the tournament last Saturday. Among them were Tucville, North Georgetown, Sophia and Redeemer.
The 16 teams were drawn from Georgetown and East Bank of Demerara. The competition is a result of a partnership with the Education Ministry, Courts and the organizing agency, Petra.
