(Jamaica Gleaner) Despite numerous setbacks, the managers of the multi-million dollar Palisadoes Shoreline Protection and Rehabilitation Project say it will be completed by the end of this month.
The disclosure was made by regional director for China Harbour Engineering Company, Zhong Dong Tang during a tour of the project today.
Also on the tour were State Minister in the Ministry of Transport and Works, Richard Azan and a group of technical personnel.
The China Harbour regional director said he hopes the project will positively impact the country.
In the meantime, director of regional implementation and special projects at the National Works Agency, George Knight, noted that the project is being completed within budget and on time.
China Harbour Engineering Company is the main contractor hired by the government to execute the project which cost of US$65 million.
