The soft-spoken Joseph won a place at St Joseph High School, a party press release said.
Granger said the awards were distributed under the auspices of the Burnham Education Scholarship Trust (BEST). One award was presented to one student from each of the ten regions as part of the PNCR’s 55th anniversary celebrations.
In his address at the brief award ceremony, Granger said education is the key to employment, empowerment and self-esteem. The BEST and its bursary awards scheme are examples of the party’s commitment to education and its commitment to encourage excellence in education, he added.
BEST is administered throughout the recipient’s academic life up to the tertiary level to mould youth to serve and develop the nation.
