Government engineer Walter Willis has been relieved of managing the Haags Bosch dumpsite in the fallout from the dissemination of photographs, purporting to be US$3 million in heavy-duty equipment belonging to contractor maintaining the site, BK International.
When contacted, Willis said that all queries should be directed to Minister of Local Government and Regional Development Ganga Persaud, the Permanent Secretary in that ministry or Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr Roger Luncheon.
“That is true,” said Willis when asked whether he was fired.
