Banks DIH Limited yesterday announced sponsorship of motor racers Andrew King, Danny Persaud, Afraz Ally and Afro Harper ahead of tomorrow’s final leg of the Caribbean Race of Champions meet at the South Dakota circuit.
Ally was sponsored under the Power Stout brand, Harper under PowerAde and King and Persaud under the Banks Beer brands.
King was not present at yesterday’s event.
The announcement was made by Banks Beer Brand Manager, Brian Choo-Hen.
“We are proud to be associated with the Caribbean Race of Champions billed for this Sunday at the South Dakota Circuit,” Choo-Hen said in announcing the sponsorship yesterday.
He added that together with its support of individual racers, the company had organized two successfully road shows in order to introduce the fans to the racers.
“That was very great, we had it at the K and K Service Station, Unity Mahaica and it was really fun. The
fans of the drivers came out they took autographs, mingled with them and really got to know the drivers, Andrew King, Danny Persaud, Mr. Ally, Mr. Vieira and all the Guyanese that will be participating. So big up to team Guyana and we know that Guyana will win all the prizes so come out and support Andrew King, Danny Persaud and Afraz Ally, Mr. Vieira and all the other Guyanese who
will be competing,” Choo-Hen remarked.
He also indicated that Banks DIH will sett up two fan zones at the South Dakota Circuit which will allow persons to win prizes as well as grab their favourite Banks DIH products.
