At the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) ground in Queenstown on Saturday, only 27 overs were possible on day one of the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) Noble House Seafoods second division competition between DCC and Malteenoes Sports Club.
DCC won the toss after rain and a wet wicket delayed the start, inserted the opposition who were quickly bowled out for 29, after playing one man short. Their innings lasted all of 14 overs as the seam bowling pair of Cavell Reece, who had a five for) and Dexter George (two wickets) ripped the spine out of the Malteenoes batting order.
