(Jamaica Observer) KINGSTON, Jamaica – An estimated 400 people have been killed in relation to the lottery scamming in Jamaica since 2006, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Glenmore Hinds said.
The announcement was made a press conference by the police in St Andrew earlier today.
“The police have increased its operations, supported by the government which is pushing ahead with legislation to better deal with this damaging scourge on our society,” Hinds said.
The police will be pursuing all those involved in the scams, the top cop said adding that people with information should “come forward and help the police force in putting an end to those illicit activities”.
