(Jamaica Gleaner) The police say they have arrested two men in connection with the murders of the Deputy Chief of Security at the Jamaica Postal Service Barrington Davis and his friend Patricia Lurmot-Barnswell.
Speaking at a press conference this morning, Head of the Criminal Investigation Branch Senior Superintendent Wilford Gayle said Davis’ car was also recovered in St James several weeks after his body was discovered.
He said the suspects are to be charged soon.
Davis and his church sister were abducted from his St John’s Heights home in Spanish Town, St Catherine on August 29.
Their bodies were found in a canefield in Innswood, St Catherine on September 16 with gunshot wounds.
In the meantime, SSP Gayle says the police are following strong leads in the murder of Public Relations Officer at the Postal Service Tandy Lewis.
Lewis was reported missing from her St Andrew home on October 16.
The burnt remains of her body were found along the Port Royal Road days after she was reported missing.
SSP Gayle says although both persons were employed to the Postal Service there is no indication that the cases are connected or had anything to do with their jobs.
