Uitvlugt Warriors and Rosignol United continued their impressive run when the GFF Super League continued over the weekend with several matches.
Warriors defeated their fellow West Demerara side Den Amstel 2-0 at the Uitvlugt Community Centre ground.
The goal scorers were Seon Bobb who scored in the 2nd minute of the match while Jamal Harvey netted the other in the 17th minute from the penalty spot.
Warriors, the giant killers have already scored victories over Alpha “the Hammer” United and Linden side Milerock, former winners and runners up of the League.
Rosignol United also humbled Georgetown side BK International Western Tigers 4-1 at the Blairmont ground in Berbice.
Tyson Carmichael netted a hat trick of goals for the Rosignol side scoring in the 35th, 57th and 90th minutes while Olvis Mitchell converted the other in the 87th.
Tigers had scored their lone goal in the 18th minute off the boot of Paul Giles.
BV Triumph United and Buxton United played to a 0-0 draw at BV ground and there was a similar score line in the clash between Pele and Milerock at GFC ground.
The League continues Sunday with four matches at two venues.
At Uitvlugt, Warriors will battle Amelia’s Ward in the first match of a double header at 13:30 hours while Den Amstel will clash with Milerock at 15:30 hours.
At Buxton ground, BV /Triumph will square off with Pele at 13:30 hours while at 15:30 hours Buxton will come up against Tigers.
