CaribDirect.com, an online portal for Caribbean news, views, politics, entertainment and much more, has teamed up with Sonia Noel’s soon to be launched magazine makin’ style and promises its fashion conscious readers a new, exciting and useful content.
According to a press release, Chief Executive Officer of CaribDirect David F Roberts is pleased to be associated with the launch and continued development of makin’ style. He says, “makin’ style gels perfectly with the ethos of CaribDirect.com with both focused on providing useful content to the global Caribbean Diaspora. We both stress quality, reliability and sustainability to ensure our readers are continuously satisfied.
“We work on the basis of forging strategic alliances with key players in certain relevant industries such as business, entertainment, media, fashion and education to assist us in providing value to our global audience.“
Sonia, meanwhile, expressed delight at having CaribDirect on board. “It was an honour to be asked to contribute towards CaribDirect when I visited London during the Olympics,” she said. “To have them on board this new magazine is a big plus for us.”
Meanwhile, Roberts also said, “Sonia’s collaboration with CaribDirect.com has been an inspiration to our fashion conscious readers while adding an exciting dimension to our range of articles… We look forward to even more fashion content following the launch of makin’ style.”
The production team of makin’ style reads a like a veritable who’s who of the Caribbean Diaspora. Several local personalities are also involved.
The premier issue of makin’ style is scheduled to be out in January and will be for free distribution, the release said.
A television and radio show will follow soon after.
Sonia mentioned in the release that she is looking forward to the support of the Ministry of Tourism, the business community and fellow Guyanese. The team can be contacted via email: makinstyle@gmail.com or on telephone number 2263099.
