Georgetown’s two top teams Ravens and Courts Pacesetters held their seeds and secured wins on opening night of the Phillip George Legacy Basketball Tournament Friday night at the Burnham outdoor basketball court.
In the division one category, Pacesetters rode the home court advantage all the way to a comfortable 76-60 win against the Plaisance Guardians while Ravens withstood the come-from-behind efforts of Pepsi Sonics to win 56-51.
On their return to the Pacesetter line-up guard Hugh Arthur and Travis Burnett propelled Pacesetters on the offensive end, combining for more than half (42) of the team’s points. Burnett, who had been injured a few weeks ago,
