A man accused of assault was released on his own recognisance by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry on Tuesday after he denied the charge.
It is alleged that Cornel Atkinson, on October 27, unlawfully assaulted Jason Gustav in the Charlestown area, causing Gustav to suffer bodily harm. Atkinson, who resides at 31 Railway Line, Kitty, pleaded not guilty after the charge was read against him at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
No further details were given in court about the alleged assault.
The case was adjourned until November 29.
