— Noble House Seafoods second division competition

Police Sports Club, on the back of an impressive all round performance from Pernell London, defeated Third Class last weekend in the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) Noble House Seafoods second division competition at Eve Leary.
London followed up a century last weekend with 90 and a five wicket haul to spearhead the innings and 133 runs win.
Police Sports Club, bating first, piled up 351 in 55 overs with London taking 109 balls for his top score of 90.
Randloph Knights scored a quick and even half century (50); Fitroy Culley made 44 from 35 balls and Troy Benn 31 from 28 balls and Rawle Haynes, 30. Alvin Castello took 3 for 40 while Andre O’Neal and Samuel Mohabir each took two wickets.
Third Class, in reply, were shot out for just 97 in 30 overs as Knights bagged 7-24 and Sheldon Agard grabbed two wickets without conceding a run.
Trevor Hussein 32 and Castello 26, were the principal scorers.
Following on Third Class were bowled out for 121 in 31.2 overs as London bagged 5-22 and Stephen Blacks 3-24.
Lenny Pencham scored 32 and Castello 30 for Third Class.
At the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) ground, the home team endured a torrid outing as the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) thoroughly outplayed them winning by an innings and 42 runs. GDF elected to bat first and reached 262 all out from 52 overs. Former Guyana Under-19 fast bowler Jeremiah Harris made 67 and Randy Lindore 53 batting at number 11. Travis Blyden made 35 and Nakeitha Nestor 33.
Bowling for DCC, Miguel Parks took 5 for 54 and Xaviee Smith 2 for 59
DCC crashed to 93 all out in their first innings with Larry Smith scoring 22 and Jahron Byron 21.
Dennis Legay captured 4 for 17, Paul Castello 2 for 21 and former national player Roderick Lovell 2 for 32.
Following on, DCC made just 124 all out in 42 overs. Andrew Gibson scored 28 and Smith 20.
Legay took another four wickets, this time for 23 runs whie Blyden took 2 for 10.
At the Muslim Youth Organisation (MYO) ground, Transport Sports Club benefitted from a bristling century by Charwayne McPherson to defeat vikings by an innings.
Batting first after winning the toss TSC scored 354 for 9 declared in 44.3 overs with McPherson blasting 128 an innings which contained 17 fours and six, maximums. His opening partner Sunil Singh scored 63, the two adding 143 for the first wicket while Jonathan Alphonso scored 69. D Cotton took 6 for 36 in 8.3 overs bowling for Vikings and R. Persaud
Vikings, in reply scored 131 all out with M Persaud, 33, and G . Matthews 25, the principal scorers. Off-spinner Alphonso took 3 for 5, Keon Morris 3 for 41 and Joshua Wilson 2 for 7.
Following on Vikings made 77 for 7 innings closed to lose by an innings as all 11 players failed to turn up for the second day’s play. Damian Ross made 33 while Alphsonso took 3 for 26 and Morris 2 for 5.
