AINLIM, Marketing and Distribution (M&D) and Essequibo Branch have all advanced to the semi-finals while Bermudez and NMSS will battle to secure the final semis spot in the Neal and Massy Inter-Company 10-over Tapeball Cricket competition.
In the matches carded for Sunday at the Cornelia Ida ground, West Demerara, Bermudez will take on NMSS for a place in the semi-finals at 09:30 hours, AINLIM will then square off with M&D in the first semi-final at 11:00 hours to be followed by Essequibo facing the winner of the Bermudez/CCS fixture at 13:00 hours.
In quarter-finals action last Sunday at GCC ground, Bourda, Defending champions AINLIM defeated Geddes Grant by seven runs in a pulsating encounter between two arch-rivals.
Batting first, AINLIM compiled 59 runs off their allotted overs with Harold Baboolall top scoring with 17 runs.
Ravi Sukhdeo and R. DeFreitas captured two wickets each.
In reply, Geddes Grant were restricted to 52-3 at the end of their 10 overs.
Jason Da Silva top scored with 23 while Ashraf Ali bagged 2-8 and Rodnew Mc Donald picked up the other wicket for five runs.
Essequibo made light work of CCS winning their match by four wickets.
Batting first CCS made 63 for 8 off 10 overs with Jason Squires scoring 23 and Afraz Baksh supporting with 17.
Ravindra Lall picked up 2 for 5 bowling for Essequibo who replied with 65 for 6.
Berbice Branch suffered mixed fortunes and were eliminated after they defeated DOCOL in an elimination match but lost to M&D in the quarter-finals.
In the Berbice/M&D match, Berbice made 60 runs with Michael Baksh scoring 25 which included 4 fours.
M&D replied with 61 for 3 thanks to a top score of 25 by Bharat Jagdeo which included two sixes and one four.
Earlier, Amir Boodhoo struck 27 as Berbice amassed 102 for 8, the highest total of the day to beat DOCOL by 60 runs.
Mark Robe and Allan Moe each picked up two wickets for DOCOL.
DOCOL were bundled out for 42 in their reply with Anthony Ramsahai being the pick of the bowlers with 2-5.
