Mahdia accident survivors in serious condition

Shawn Simon and Michael Prince, who were involved in an accident at Mahdia on Wednesday that claimed the life of one person, are said to be in serious condition at the Georgetown Hospital.

Prince is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is currently experiencing numbness from his navel down but is able to speak, his brother, Errol Prince said.

His brother also stated that the doctor informed him that he also has a fractured neck in addition to the injuries to his back and will need to do some scans in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Simon is a patient of the High Dependency Unit (HDU) and is said to have suffered internal injuries. He too is now able to speak.

Keith Paul, 40-years-old, of No 1 Road, Corentyne, Berbice died on the spot after he was pitched out of the car, which turned turtle, as they were travelling to work.  Simon, 40 years of 111 Miles, Mahdia, and Prince, 50 years, of Belmont, Mahaica were also in the car.
