Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr Roger Luncheon has said that the US$25M government received for the sale of its shares in the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GT%T) is going into the coffers of the National Industrial and Commercial Investment Limited (NICIL).
“To my knowledge it has not been earmarked for anything,” Luncheon was quoted as saying by the Government Information Agency (GINA) at his post-Cabinet press briefing on Wednesday. He also reiterated that all the privatisation proceeds are put into NICIL’s coffers.
