Classes at Queen’s College (QC) yesterday continued to be disrupted as a result of an infestation of fleas.
The infestation has also disrupted the QC Old School Students’ Association Barbecue, Fish Fry and Lime scheduled for tomorrow, according to a notice published in yesterday’s edition of this newspaper. The school has been earmarked for fumigation over the weekend.
The extent of the infestation is unknown, however, when this newspaper visited the school during school hours yesterday, only the security guard was there. The origin of the infestation is also unknown.
All efforts to contact someone in charge were futile. No further information was provided when Stabroek News visited the school.
