A 17-year-old boy died after a mining pit caved in on him around 17:00 hrs on Sunday at Micobie Village, Potaro.
Carl Prince of Micobie Village was pronounced dead on arrival at the Mahdia Hospital the police said in a press release.
Investigations have revealed that Prince was working in the mining pit when it caved in on him.
An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
